HeliosCheck.com is a consultant-led women’s health service. You book a private video or phone consultation with a practising gynecologist, and you also get access to a library of health information written and reviewed by the same clinicians. It complements your regular doctor rather than replacing them.
Is an online gynecology consultation as good as seeing someone in person?
For a great many things — symptom assessment, interpreting results you already have, contraception advice, menopause planning, deciding whether you need further tests — a longer online consultation is at least as useful, and usually less rushed. Anything requiring a physical or internal examination needs an in-person appointment, and we will tell you clearly when that is the case and help arrange it.

Every consultation is delivered by a registered specialist in obstetrics and gynecology. Each clinician’s registration number and subspecialty are listed on our about page, and every article carries the name and date of the clinician who reviewed it.
Can you prescribe medication or order tests?
Yes, where it is clinically appropriate and permitted in your location. That includes contraception, HRT and treatment for common gynecological infections. We will not prescribe where a physical examination or baseline test is required first — in that situation we tell you what is needed and how to get it.
